Toxic Waste is actually toxic!

Say it ain't so! The news of the day is that the company known as Candy Dynamics based in Indianapolis, IN has recalled their line of candy known as Toxic Waste® brand Nuclear Sludge® Chew Bars. Seriously. Well, its actually a relatively high level of lead that prompts this "voluntary recall" by Candy Dynamics.

From an FDA press release "A recent test performed by the California Department of Public Health has indicated that a lot (#8288A) of the cherry flavor of the above-listed product contains elevated levels of lead (0.24 parts per million; the U.S. FDA tolerance is 0.1 ppm) that potentially could cause health problems, particularly for infants, small children, and pregnant women."

24 times the tolerance level set. Good news for worried people is that all these products from raspberry to sour apple are being removed from stores.

So unless you want to eat some lead-filled sour candy I'd stay clear of this.
Beware of eating waste and sludge! :P

Video of the Day 1/11/11

In keeping with the topic of test-taking, TheRoflCakes' video of the day is "The Test" by irishgrenadier.
Edit: I've since deleted the posts regarding test-taking as they were out-dated. The blog has also been refocused and changed to The Synergy Complex.

I did not expect it to end that way! (I also like the Peanuts cartoon :D)
